As a short-haired girl, I was so happy to think someone still falls in love with them. Only to discover it's actually a boy I guess it's time to think about growing my hair back, I've noticed men treat me like I'm invisible since I cut them off... >.<
I know what you mean. I cut my hair off and I've noticed I'm ignored by more people than what I was when I had longer hair. Even though people tell me it looks good, I think most of them say that just to be polite. I cut mine off because longer hair was a mess to take care of and I never knew what to do with it. I hated wearing it in ponytail and headbands look boring on me. Depending on how your hair would take you could try using a ceramic straightener on it, especially the bangs and maybe get an Emo hair style going? I notice I get a little more attention when I do that.
I totally understand! And my hai is pretty straight by itself and I've also noticed that 'emo' fringe gets more attention. But I think I'm too old to pull off that look and I hate hair in my eyes. I had trouble with maintaining mine as well, due to the volume/thickness and the fact that they took ages to dry and I also would wear ponytails for comfiness but I couldn't even make a ponytail on top because afer an hour, the heavy hair would pull the pony back down due to gravity and destroy it (very heavy hair, I swear .__.) It's so much easier with short do, but when you try to meet someone or first impression counts, guys tend to ignore short-haired ladies and prefer the 100 % 'feminine' ones. I can really feel the change in attitude as well.
Can't stand hair in my eyes either. Only reason I put up with the Emo style is because it looks so good. Ha ha Wish mine was straight. It's wavy with cowlicks, so takes a lot of maintenance when I want to do anything with it. I've considered wearing some wigs when I want longer hair. It's all the rage in places like Japan. Keep thinking I'd just wear them when I meet people, but then I realize, they'll have to see my real hair eventually... Ha ha But maybe by then it would have grown out a bit!
Lol, I've also considered that!!! Just imagine the endless possibilities, we could change hair everyeday Still, I reckon it would be too weird, at least I don't know anyone doing it, and I would be afraid of people's reaction U_U Or that someone pulled on the wig and reveal the truth, haha. Anyway, I've seen those lovely, long cosplay wigs on Ebay. They come in so many colours and can be straight or wavy _ One pale pink and curly one is trempting me in particular. I couldn't imagine going out in it though, unless to a convention of sort. But a regular-coloured wig, who knows? And emo hair does look attractive, both on men and women. But it's scary to what lenghts people would go to be attractive- they can barely see through that hair sometimes >,< It's actually dangerous, hair in the eyes , lol
ha ha Yes, I've seen bangs practically covering the entire half of a face and I wonder, "How can they stand that???" Oh, I've seen lots of wigs on eBay I want. Just really really wish I had a friend living near me that would wear them too, so I wouldn't feel so silly. Ha ha I worry some immature jerk out in town would pull it off and embarrass me or that someone standing in line behind me may see the net cap through it! As much as I love the blonde and white wigs, darker colors are probably best and a little more embarrass-proof!
But Keira and Portman have faces so beautifully carved by nature that they'd look good bald *_* I guess random-face-looking woman just can't afford it Unless they have the boobs to take attention away from the hair/face areaXD But I really like the comfiness of it, can wash it in the shower at any time, and it doesn't take ages to dry (I have very thick, thick hair and that volume makes it so annoying that's why I cut them in the first place).
thick thick hair means that you have so much texture to play around with it. When you say short im not quite sure what you do with your short hair. You could spike it like Pink, flat it down like Agyness Deyn or Ruff it up like Keira. I guess you will just have to find what looks good for you. And also when you say short it could be like shave on the side short (works for some people) or liks cover your ears short.
oh i miss the day back in my country (when i was in primary like .. 10 years ago) where i would wait every week on a wednesday for a new tankobon issue of Sailor Moon : ). Sailor moon came out a long time ago in japan but it got translated and republished in Vietnam around the time i grew up : )
sorry to butt in on the convo, but me and several of my friends had really long hair for the longest time, then one by one decided to cut it off, and several of us actually started getting noticed only when we cut it! So I guess it works differently for everyone, and you should just do what you feel most comfortable in or what best represents you
You have? Thanks for sharing. Maybe it's the 'change' factor that made impression May I ask how short did you cut it? Because I went as short as the boy in the picture. And got reactions 'why would you do that to yourself, you're a girl' On the other hand, I can't intake Halle Berry with long hair. Short do is just MENT for her imho
I actually have cut my hair very short in many boy cuts. Yeah, one haircut got me teased for looking like Justin Bieber (was not the intent); but a lot of people told me that I look better and more sophisticated/grown-up with it short. It also got me more noticed, personally.
I went for a short bob, so a little longer than that, but a friend of mine who used to have hair to her butt cut her's that short, and seriously, there would be guys walking down the street past us staring! It also might depend on where you live, and how femininity is perceived there, because I'm from a very 'liberal' town where there's girls walking around with buzzcuts and mohawks and noone really cares. xD
Oh, I see I would love a town like that Unfortunatelly, it's more of a conservative surrounding and standing out isn't a good thing. Right after cutting I dyed very pale blonde, actually it looked white, because I always loved white/gray hair and was so happy with the result. I've had people saiyng that it's standing out too much and that it looks unnatural. It freaked me out and I got back to my natural brownish colour ._. But I kept the lenght. Around here, people with dreadlocks and piercings are stared at, so you're probably right that local tendencies invfluence individual perception of this hair-thing
Ah, that makes sence..... don't let others influence you though, especially if it's something you really like, such as the hair color!! In any case, good luck with your future hair endeavors (also, sorry for the late reply.... was sick -___- )
Wow, I couldn't recognize them at first, but after scrolling through the comments, I now recognize them! There are subtle hints in the faces and bodies. Great job! I approve immensely!
I don't really watch the show anymore though. Everything was getting kind of cheesier than cheesy. I am kind of interested to know about Rachel's life though. >.< I think I saw the first episode of the 3rd season, then it was school time.
